Can I trade crypto-to-crypto on LocalCoinSwap?

Yes, LocalCoinSwap currently supports a lite version of crypto-to-crypto (C2C) trading. Lite C2C allows users to trade with the following cryptocurrencies - Bitcoin (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Ethereum (ETH), Dash (DASH), Tether (USDT), and TrueUSD (TUSD).

Stage 1 (Lite C2C):

Lite C2C trading consists of one cryptocurrency being transacted ON the LocalCoinSwap platform, and the other being transacted OFF the LocalCoinSwap platform. This works in a similar fashion to crypto to fiat trading. 

The on-platform cryptocurrency is held in escrow while the other cryptocurrency is sent directly from the buyer to the seller, off the platform. 

If there is a dispute on a C2C trade, given the distributed ledger technology of blockchain, this will be perfectly safe for users as dispute resolution staff will simply review the transaction data of the off-platform cryptocurrency on its respective block explorer.

Stage 2:

In the future, if demand is sufficient, we may implement "stage 2" of C2C trading. This will consist of both cryptocurrencies being escrowed and exchanged on the LocalCoinSwap platform.
