If you have previously set up your MFA on your phone app (or another MFA device), but your code is not working when attempting to login, then this may be because your MFA device has gone out of sync. This can happen due to changes in you or your phone's timezone.
Before submitting a support ticket regarding your MFA not working, please try to re-sync your MFA using the steps below and attempt the action again.
Steps
Android:
First, ensure that the time on your phone is being set automatically:
- Go to the Android settings app (your phone settings).
- Click General Management.
- Click Date and time.
- Enable Automatic date and time.
- If it's already enabled, disable it, wait a few seconds and then re-enable.
Next, re-sync your Google Authenticator App:
- Go to the Google Authenticator app.
- Click the button with the 3 vertical dots on the top right.
- Click Settings in the dropdown menu.
- Click Time correction for codes.
- Click Sync now.
iOS (Apple):
- Go to the iPhone Settings App. (your phone settings).
- Click General.
- Click Date & Time.
- Enable Set Automatically.
- If it's already enabled, disable it, wait a few seconds and then re-enable.
