What is a crypto asset or digital asset?

A crypto, or digital asset, is a non-physical commodity which may or may not be a currency.

Often digital assets are also crypto assets, but the term may be non-specific.

These assets can often be traded on a Blockchain in the same manner as cryptocurrencies.
