Where does LocalCoinSwap get cryptocurrency prices from and how often are they updated?

When posting trades using the default pricing formula, LocalCoinSwap uses prices taken from CoinMarketCap.com. These are updated every 3 minutes.

When using the more complex pricing equation method, you will be able to select prices from specific exchanges that you want your trade price to track. For more information on pricing equations, please see here.

In most cases the default pricing will be sufficient, so if you are unsure if you need to use a more advanced pricing algorithm, it's likely this is unnecessary and you can simply set your desired margin.
