Can we message users on the platform?

You may only message users on the platform that you are engaged in a trade with. This is to minimize the risk of scamming, harassment, and spam.

As soon as you initiate a contract to trade with another user, a chat area will appear, allowing a direct line of communication between the traders. This is where you can organize appropriate payment and update each other on the progress of the trade. All messages in this chat box will be read by a LocalCoinSwap dispute resolution manager in the case of a dispute being raised.

Please ensure that you communicate all payment details regarding the trade through this chat box and not on a 3rd party communication service to ensure that a resolution manager will have access to all details in case of a dispute.

If you are found to be abusing the chat feature for other means, your account will likely be restricted to protect other users.
